Meaning of friendship

Hello my dear blog friends. I have a topic that crossed my mind just now whenever I read the task that my lecturer gave which is about friendship. How well you know about friendship? Do you think friend is just like a plain paper or ink? To me, I prefer to have friend like ink because they cannot be removed like paper and they cannot be erased easily. But, paper, we can throw it away whenever we like. I also want to share a poem about friendship to you guys. The poem is following below:

A Simple Thank-You, My Friend

Into the dim lit, bare walls of my world,
You entered, bringing light and life to me,
The vivid colors, painted with a swirl
Of wit and charm, of personality,
With tender care, you added comfort, warmth,
And images that line the now bright walls.
I look upon them fondly, bringing forth
A thankfulness that you walk in these halls
With me; our friendship has become a part
Of my world now; it has its special place,
Within my being, life, and in my heart,
Your name hangs right beside your smiling face.
Rememb'ring just how drab these walls had been,
I have to thank you for the light, my friend.

Yeah, we all have to thank to some friends who give us light and forget some friends who darken our life as well. Faithful and trustworthy friend is difficult to find. It's okay if people call us choosey because I think not all people can be our friend. Only some of them can be our real friends while the rest are just 'real friends' for a while..So, I want to stress that to have a true friend is like to look for a pearl in the sea. Once u get it, u'll never let it go and will keep it tightly.
